Hello, I'm Waruni, the owner and director of Pristine Montessori here in Hillsboro. It is truly my joy to welcome your family to our little school, where we offer an authentic and loving Montessori education for children ages 18 months to 6 years.
We create warm, carefully prepared spaces where every child is respected as their own person and gently encouraged to grow in independence, confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
What makes our school so special is the personal, caring attention we give to each little one, our mixed age classrooms where children learn from one another, our experienced and warm hearted Montessori guides, and the close community we all share. Our hope reaches far beyond school readiness. We want every child to grow into a capable, confident, kind, and independent little person who is ready to thrive both in school and in life.

Why Authentic Montessori, and What "Authentic" Means
At its heart, Montessori is about trusting the child. We see children as capable, curious, and naturally driven to learn. Authentic Montessori gives them the time, freedom, and thoughtfully prepared environment to explore, practice, and discover their growing abilities, while caring adults observe, guide, and support them.
It is through these everyday experiences, choosing work, repeating it, concentrating deeply, and discovering "I can do it", that independence, confidence, and a genuine love of learning begin to grow.

During the first six years of life, children possess an absorbent mind, naturally taking in language, culture, movement, and the order of their environment. Montessori education thoughtfully supports this remarkable period of development.
Sensitive Periods
Children experience sensitive periods, specific times when they are particularly drawn to developing language, movement, order, sensory refinement, and other skills. The Montessori environment and materials meet the child during these important windows of development.
The Prepared Environment
The prepared environment is intentionally designed around the child. Child-sized furnishings, accessible materials, and orderly spaces support freedom of movement, independent choice, concentration, and care for the environment.
The Prepared Adult
The prepared adult observes before intervening, gives precise presentations, and knows when to step back. Our AMI-certified guide protects the child's independence, allowing them to engage in uninterrupted work and discover through their own effort.
The Three-Hour Work Cycle
Deep concentration takes time. The three-hour work cycle provides an uninterrupted period for children to choose meaningful work, repeat activities, follow their interests, and develop sustained concentration, without unnecessary interruptions or forced transitions.
The Pristine Montessori Journey
A child who begins with us as a Wobbler or Toddler can grow into our Primary community within the same nurturing Montessori environment, surrounded by familiar faces, meaningful relationships, and consistent rhythms until she is ready for first grade. Here's what that journey can look like.

She Begins in the Toddler Community
At 18 months, she enters the Toddler prepared environment with Ms. Jasmine and Ms. Nicole. Through observation, movement, and hands-on work, she begins developing independence, coordination, concentration, and confidence.

She Learns Through Observation
As part of a Montessori community, she has daily opportunities to observe older Primary children engaged in meaningful, purposeful work. She watches as older children choose materials, complete work cycles, care for the environment, practice Grace and Courtesy, and support one another, naturally inspiring her to explore what she, too, can do.

She Grows into the Primary Community
Around age three, she transitions into the Primary environment with Ms. Marianne and Ms. Payal. Building on the independence, coordination, and concentration developed in Toddler, she begins the Primary Montessori curriculum with new materials, lessons, and a longer work cycle. Familiar Montessori principles and rhythms provide continuity as she moves into a new stage of development.

She Becomes a Role Model
As an older Primary child, she moves from observing others to becoming a model for younger children. She practices grace and courtesy, cares for the community, and experiences the joy of helping others. When she is ready for her next step, she leaves with a strong academic foundation and the social-emotional skills and confidence to grow, learn, and thrive.
From observer to participant, from learner to leader, the Montessori progression unfolds naturally within the mixed-age community.
Zero teacher turnover since we opened in April 2024. Through the challenging seasons and the busy ones, every guide who joined us at the beginning is still here. As we grow, we add to our team. We don't replace it.
That consistency makes the full Montessori journey possible. A child who begins in our Toddler community can spend three, four, or even five years growing alongside familiar guides who know them well, continually deepen their Montessori practice, and genuinely care about the child in front of them.
For children, that means something simple but meaningful: familiar faces, trusted relationships, and a steady sense of belonging as they grow.
